DESCRIPTION:START YOUR ENGINES… AGAIN!  \nGet ready for the Sacred Springs District Pinewood Derby — Championship Race! \nThis BLACK LIGHT DERBY race crowns the overall District Champions: 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place out of all Cub Scouts in the district—no matter your age or rank. Fast cars. Big cheers. Renowned fame.  \nHow to Qualify for the Championship Race \n\nEach Cub Scout Pack may send 2 Scouts (and their cars).\nThese are usually the Pack’s 1st and 2nd place finishers—but it’s up to your Pack who they choose.\n\nThe “Second Chance” Race (Race Again!) \nDidn’t get your best run the first time? Want to fine-tune your speed machine and try again? \nThe Second Chance Race is open to any Scout in the district who wants to tweak\, improve\, and race again. \n\nThe top 3 finishers in Second Chance will earn a spot in the Championship Race!\n\nAwards & Patch \n\nTrophies will be awarded to the top 3 overall District winners.\nEvery Scout who races in either the Championship Race or Second Chance Race will receive a commemorative patch.\n\nRegistration \n\n$10 per Scout (covers the cost of the patch)\n\nCar Weigh-In  \n\nTentatively scheduled for the Friday\, March 6th or the morning of March 7th. Still working to secure the official date and time so stay tuned and look for official communication soon! \n\nAbout Pinewood Derby \nThe Pinewood Derby is one of the most exciting family traditions in Cub Scouting. Scouts build small wooden cars—often with help from their families—and then race them down a track powered by gravity. \nEvery Scout gets to design their own “grand prix” car and see their hard work fly! DESCRIPTION:The Camporee staff are excited to be returning to the “Narrows” this year! This Camporee is set in a Post-Apocalyptic world theme. \nOver the decades\, your way of life has changed: supplies\, water\, and necessities are extremely limited. Your scout skills will be tested as you cross the wild lands to reach “Tomorroe Morroe Lan.” This is a rare meeting in this new world where so many of us are gathered\, and we will share our skits and songs at campfire after a long day of scavenging for supplies. \nThe full Event Guide is available HERE and registration is open at BLACKPUG LINK TO COME. DESCRIPTION:Dear Sacred Springs Leadership\,\n\n\nI hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer now that the school year has wrapped up!\n\n\nI’d like to invite all Pack and Troop Leaders to our upcoming District Membership Discussion on:\n\n\n Thursday\, June 12th\n 7:00 PM\n 401 Jacobs Well Rd\, Wimberley\, TX 78676\n\n\nThis gathering will be a great opportunity to:\n\n\n* Learn more about Join Scout Nights happening this Fall\n* Pick up yard signs and see flyer examples\n* Connect with fellow Pack and Troop leaders to strengthen collaboration and support across units\n\n\nLet’s work together to make this Fall’s recruitment season a big success!\n\n\nLooking forward to seeing you there.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Roundtable?\nRoundtable is a monthly program offered by each District that gives leaders hands-on experience and provides a forum for leaders to offer and receive help from their fellow Scouters. There are separate sessions for Boy Scout leaders and Cub Scouts leaders; many Roundtables begin with a joint session to hear announcements and upcoming event schedules that apply to all leaders. The Boy Scout Roundtable session explores a particular activity or area of interest\, while the Cub Scout Roundtable provides information about the upcoming month’s planned program theme. In both sessions leaders are encouraged to share their questions\, their successes and their failures (usually the latter is the most instructive!). Helping you\, the Scouting leader\, is the sole purpose of Roundtable.​ \nWho should attend?\nEverybody! Roundtable is designed for all leaders – Venturing Crew Advisers\, Scoutmasters\, Cubmasters\, Webelos Leaders\, Committee Members\, Assistant Scoutmasters\, Den Leaders\, Commissioners; every scouting position has a place at Roundtable. In the Cub Scout session there are separate break-out programs for Wolf and Bear Leaders\, Webelos Leaders\, Cubmasters\, and Pack Administration.  Whether you’ve been in Scouting for 40 years\, or just signed up last week\, Roundtable has a lot to offer you. \nWhy should I go?\nBecause Roundtable is by\, for\, and about YOU\, unit leaders\, committee members and commissioners! Every job is made easier by sharing the load\, and Roundtable takes on the job of creating and presenting your program. Sure\, you can make your own program from scratch\, but you certainly don’t have to! Roundtable is loaded with ideas\, discussion\, and demonstrations of all kinds. Got a particular problem you just can’t work out?  Come to Roundtable and ask the group – draw on the years of Scouting experience made available just for you.
